  9. Helping Hands is a tutoring program that works with the Westfield Youth Assistance Program

  10. WHO: Over 50 Westfield High School students volunteer to tutor students

  11. WHERE: Oak Trace, Washington Woods, Carey Ridge, and Monon Trail Elementary

  12. WHEN: Once a week for 45 minutes from 3:45 - 4:30, begins at the end of September/beginning of October

  13. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: Students are selected by teachers or administration after being identified as needing extra help in either academics or social skills.

  14. Westfield Middle School Extended Study Hours

  15. WHAT: A WMS teacher supervises as students study, research, or complete homework.

  16. WHO: WMS students

  17. WHERE: Westfield Middle School

  18. WHEN: WMS Media Center- Tuesday through Thursday, 6-7:30 PM.

  19. Wednesday Nights at WHS The following are tutoring and enrichment programs organized by Joel Bruns, Innovation Specialist at Westfield High School.

  20. TUTORING WHAT: Tutoring for students who need assistance or enrichment in school

  21. WHO: Tutors include adult staff members and National Honor Society students

  22. WHERE: Westfield High School WHEN: 1st and 3rd Wednesday nights, starting in September

  23. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: For all grade levels and for anyone needing tutoring

  24. CODERDOJOWHAT: Enrichment opportunity for students to work with computer engineers to design apps for local businesses

  25. WHO: Computer Engineers

  26. WHERE: Westfield High School

  27. WHEN: 2nd Wednesday of each month, starting in September

  28. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: For students in grades 7-12 who have some experience or interest in Computer Science

  29. FAMILY MAKE NIGHTWHAT: Enrichment opportunity for students and their families to come and build things in The Idea Farm (past projects have been an automated Rock, Paper, Scissors game with a BBC Micro-bit computer, designing and 3D printing a personalized key chain, laser engraving wood, and other fun projects!)

  30. WHO: Joel Bruns, Adult Staff Members

  31. WHERE: Westfield High School

  32. WHEN: 4th Wednesday of each month, starting in September

  33. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: For any family in the district; Parents MUST attend with their children
