CDC Vaccine Priority Information
The CDC provides a presentation that goes into the science, implementation and ethics behind the priority of who gets the COVID-19 vaccine. The education sector is in Phase 1b. There is no published timetable as to when Phase 1b will start, so we will update you as soon as we get information.
Free Counseling Sessions
As WWS employees, you have access to four (4) FREE, confidential counseling sessions with a licensed psychologist through our partnership with Riverview Health Behavioral Care. This service is available to all WWS employees and spouses regardless of whether or not the employee is currently enrolled in the WWS employee health benefits plan. Learn more here.
Stress-management Workshop for CEUs
Earn CEUs or PGPs by participating in “Managing COVID-whelm,” a FREE, one-hour, mind-body workshop for educators that offers researched-based tools to manage change, stress and illness in a supportive group setting. Led by Advanced Practitioners of Mind Body Skills with the Center for Mind Body Medicine, this workshop will be held after school, on January 6, with an in-person session at the WMS LGI and a separate Zoom session.
Wellbeing Coalition of Westfield
The Wellbeing Coalition of Westfield is an organization created to provide our local community with a wealth of resources to help improve our mental, physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.
Digital Documentary Screening
Parent University is partnering with the Wellbeing Coalition of Westfield to host a second, virtual screening. This time, it is the documentary “Angst.” The film is designed to raise awareness around anxiety. It includes interviews with kids, teens, educators, experts, parents, and a very special interview with Michael Phelps. Digital slots are limited and you must sign up to receive a link to watch the film on your personal device.
